Good day, Brethren
Summer is officially here and it has brought the heat with it. When having fun in the sun, I encourage all our brothers and their families to stay hydrated. Speaking of outdoor activities, we have officially scheduled our lodge’s next range day. There is currently only one spot left so anyone interested in joining us at Tango Down on July 25th please reach out to W:. Jeff or myself.
In the beginning of May, we had the honor of presenting one 25 Year Pin and three 40 Year Pins to our brothers at Ionic. Congratulations to Brother David on your 25-year pin! I would also like to congratulate Brothers Larry, Peter, and Wayne on their 40-year pins! It was a privilege, as your Worshipful, to be able to present you with such a prestigious award. It is with great pride and joy that Ionic was able to acknowledge your dedication to the fraternity that you so love and with these awards, it shows its love for you!
On Memorial Day Weekend, the three representatives of Ionic Lodge traveled to Orlando for our annual Grand Communication. While most of the Grand Line was elected by acclimation, the positions of Junior Grand Warden and Grand Secretary were elected by vote. The Craft elected WM John as the Junior Grand Warden and WM Richard as the new Grand Secretary. The remainder of the meeting consisted of voting for changes in the digest concerning qualifications of elected officer and Grand Line, the Masonic Home, Let Your Pennies Make Good Sense and more. For any brother interested in the results of the changes, please reach out to me and I can provide you with a copy of the proposed legislation and results.
Brothers, the next few months will be busy with all the activity coming our way. Ionic has received three petitions for potential new members so an EA degree is on the horizon. We will begin practice soon with a potential degree in August. Our new DDGM RW Steve will be visiting us during our second meeting in August with Ionic hosting NEFMA the following week.
Finally, if any Brother has any thoughts on a community event that you would like to see your lodge host or would like to participate in any of the upcoming festivity, please reach out to our Secretary Richie or myself. We are trying to find more way to bring excitement to not just our monthly meetings, but in other curricular activities that joy and fellowship with our Brothers. I hope everyone enjoys there summer, and I look forward to see you in the future.
