Fellowship
This is one of the first things you’ll notice about Masonry. All of our members will treat you as their brother from day one. And the bond can only strengthen from there. There are over 30,000 Masons in Florida alone. And a fellow Mason isn’t a stranger, just a friend you’ve yet to meet.
Truth
You’ll achieve personal reward and growth through the power of truth and the guidance of a strong moral character. Through the experience of your fellow brothers and the wisdom of our teachings, there is no limit to what you can do.
Relief
As Masons it’s our goal to leave the world a better place than we found it. There is no greater feeling than making someone else’s life better. This is one of our primary objectives and we’d love to see you help out.
We Don’t…
We won’t give you money, a job, or a position of power in the community. We won’t tell you what to believe in spiritually, it just has to be something and you have to respect other’s beliefs. We don’t demand your time or money, it just takes your annual dues to maintain membership. In fact, we ask that you put your beliefs, family, and career ahead of Masonry.
However…
Any Florida Mason who meets certain basic requirements, including age, membership, and current life situation. Can choose for him, his wife or widow, to enjoy their golden years in the loving care of the Masonic Home of Florida.

Your Life as a Mason
You’ll have no shortage of friends and brothers. We meet twice a month here at Ionic No. 101. Our meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month. Come join us for dinner at 6pm and see what it’s like.
Here in Jacksonville there are a lot of lodges and there’s something to do almost every day of the week. It’s all optional but like anything in life you get out of it what you put into it. The only time you’ll be required to do anything is during your three levels of initiation where you’ll have some learning and memorizing to do.
