Trestle Board - August 2025
Greetings Brothers,
Hope everyone is having a great summer, and enjoyed their 4th of July. During this past month, the Lodge was "Dark" but that didn't prevent us from enjoying some great fellowship together! Thanks to all the Brothers who came out for the Thursday dinners. For the first dinner we walked over to Players Grille restaurant, and for the next one, we had a Pizza Dinner at the Lodge. It gave the Brothers a chance to just relax and the opportunity to build even stronger bonds.
Also, The Brotherhood participated in a lodge outing at the Tango Down Shooting Complex for a Saturday of firearms (safely) and fellowship. The outing was well attended and well received, a great time had by all. Special thanks to Worshipful Jeff for suggesting and organizing the event. This is definitely an outing we can see being an annual occurrence! Check out our Facebook page to see pictures from that day.
The Annual Masonic Tri-State Convention (AL,GA,FL) was attended by our Worshipful Master & Senior Warden. It was hosted by Jackson Lodge No. 1 in Tallahassee, FL. It was a Great opportunity to see Ritual Work from other states, as well as meeting Brother Masons from around the area. Each Degree was performed by the winner of each state's Ritual Competition. Highly recommend this event, it is worth your time.
This month, Ionic will be hosting a Master Mason Degree for Brother Fellowcraft, Will. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, August 28th. Our Degree team has begun diligently practicing and preparing for the degree. If you haven't seen our Ritual Work recently, come by and treat yourself. We are extremely proud of the hard work our team has put in to make the new Brothers experience a memorable one.
Our District Deputy Grand Master's official visit is scheduled for our meeting on August 21st. This is will be a coat and tie meeting, please and thank you. Let's do our best to have a packed house for our new DDGM.
Alas My Brother:
We received word last month that Brother M:.W:. Donald Cowart, P.G.M., was called home to the Celestial Lodge Above by the Supreme Architect of the Universe. Brother Cowart unexpectedly passed only days after completing his tour as our illustrious Grand Master. Please remember his family in your prayers.
