Trestle Board - May 2026
Good day, Brethren!
Another month has passed as we make our way into May. Over the course of April, it has been business as usual at Ionic Lodge. The Craft has successfully chosen this year’s charity, and Ionic will be supporting Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, FL. Congratulations to Ionic on your decision, and I am delighted with us keeping the theme of supporting our youth.
Campy Boggy Creek is a program that offers summer camp experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families. The camp weekly rotates through select illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, asthma, heart disease and other chronic or life-threatening conditions so that the campers are provided with not only the proper medical facilities, but fellow peers who understand their condition.
Continuing with charity, Ionic has successfully donated its final two checks to our youth groups. Jax 21 received their donation during their stated meeting at Duval Lodge. They were very appreciated and stated that the Brethren were always welcome to visit. To give Ionic’s donation to Cabul Lodge, WM Travis White and I visit Cabul Lodge to hand them their donations. It was well received and the Sorority expressed an interest in educating the Craft of the story of Job.
On the topic of education, Ionic had a decent turnout during School of Instruction. The topic covered part 1 of the Fellowcraft Degree along with some additional education on accepting candidates who started their Masonic Career out of state.
Grand Communication is fast approaching. At our second meeting, Thursday 5/21/26, we will be discussing our elect for the next Grand Line and any upcoming legislation that will require our vote. The Wardens and I will be casting your vote at the end of the month so attendance is highly encouraged for those who would like to make their voices heard.
As a reminder, this week we will be congratulating our Brothers David Daniel Boree and Peter David Bragan, Jr., who will be receiving their 25-year and 40-year award respectively. The ceremonies will be held on our first stated communication this Thursday 5/7/26. Congratulations again my brothers on your long and faithful service to the Craft of Freemasonry which you have loved, and by this award shows its love for you.
May this month bring warm weather and fellowship to your family and you, and I look forward to seeing you at our next gathering.
Sincerely,
WM
