Trestle Board - April 2025
From the East
In March, we hosted a Fellow Craft Degree for two Entered Apprentices. One courtesy Brother from Albert J. Russell Lodge and one of our own Ionic Brothers. Several members from Albert Russell were in attendance and expressed their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for sharing the Degree. Special thanks to our Degree Team for another outstanding performance. Ionic's Degree Team has set a high standard for themselves and their hard work has definitely paid off.
Last month was Masonic Youth Month, and all Lodges were encouraged to reach out to the Masonic Youth in their community and lend support. Ionic had three Brothers attend the DeMolay Boys' fundraiser and become Honorary Members of the King Solomon Chapter of DeMolay. These young men performed an outstanding degree for all the Master Masons in attendance. Their ritual work was very impressive to say the least and the future of Masonry is in good hands with them. This past meeting we invited the Rainbow Girls of Wesconnett Assembly #84 to join us for dinner. During our meeting, their Worthy Advisor spoke on her charity for this year (The Lone Warrior Foundation) and another girl gave a powerful presentation on the importance of Mothers and Fathers. Our Lodge presented them with a donation that will assist with sending a Rainbow Girl to their annual Grand Assembly.
This month we had the honor and privilege of presenting two of our Brothers with their service awards. Congratulation to W:. Ricky, PM, who received his 60 Years Service Award in the Lodge for his long and faithful service. Also, Congratulations to Brother Billy, who received his 65 Years Service Award on his 94th birthday. Brother Billy was unable to make it to the Lodge, so our Worshipful Master & Secretary hand delivered it to his home. The fraternity salutes these two Brothers for their dedication and faithfulness to the Craft.
We want to thank Brother Emory for delivering our donation check to the Artist Connection Theatre. Ionic is proud to support our local community and arts. Special thanks and shout out to our own W:. Jon, PM for leading the charge for the Scottish Rite Annual Golf Tournament. This event raised more than $20,000 for the Wolfson Children Hospital in no small part to the time and effort put in by Brother Croft.
Take Care of One Another!
Travis,
Worshipful Master
