Greetings Brothers,
It is with profound sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Brother W:. Harry P. Sheppell. Brother Harry was a faithful and devoted Mason whose gentle spirit, warm friendship, and boisterous passion for the Craft touched us all. He personified our tenets and his presence among us at so many lodges and events was a constant reminder of the ties that bind us as Brethren. Though the Supreme Architect of the Universe has called our Brother from labor to eternal refreshment, his memory will remain a bright light forever in the East of our hearts. Brother Harry has anchored our lodge for the past 10 years, dedicating himself to Ionic as Lodge Secretary. It is now our appointed task to pick up his working tools and make Harry proud.
As we turn the page on another season, we hope our Brothers & their families shared a wonderful Thanksgiving Day together. This is a time to reflect and give thanks for those blessings and people who touch our lives on a daily basis. Also, a belated Happy Veterans Day to all our Masonic Vets and families who have served our great Nation. Thank you for your service, Brothers. Finally, as we look forward to spending time with loved ones during this bustling time of the year. Ionic wishes you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Table Lodge Rescheduled: Brothers, go ahead and mark your calendars for December 11th. Ionic will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary with a Table Lodge. This is a Tyled Meeting and for Master Masons only. This is a time-honored tradition in Masonry and we look forward to experiencing it in our Lodge. If you have never had an opportunity to participate in one, this is your chance. For this meeting, coat and tie are requested but not required.
There are two other dates of importance rapidly approaching. First, we will have our annual Past Masters Night on the first meeting of the month. Please come out and help us show our PM's the appreciation they deserve for their years of service to the Fraternity. Second, is our Officers Installation on January 03, 2026. Remember this is open to friends and family. The Lodge encourages you to invite love ones and guests to help us usher in the next Worshipful Master and his Officers. Ionic Lodge is in good hands as we move into the future.
Alas, My Brother:
This week we received word that Worshipful Brother Harry Sheppell was called home to the Celestial Lodge Above by the Supreme Architect of the Universe. Please remember the family and Brothers who dearly loved him in your prayers.
P.S. Thank you, Brothers! For the past year and a half, it has been an honor and privilege to serve Ionic Lodge and its Brothers from the East. I have cherished this time as the Worshipful Master of the Lodge, and it will take time to truly digest all I have learned from the Craft. Most importantly, that there is no greater title than Brother! I love all you my Brothers, and thank you for making it so memorable.
