Good day, Brethren!
As March has come to a close, we welcome the spring by stepping into April. Ionic has been very active over the course of the previous month between our stated meetings, lodge visitations, and group activities.
During our first stated communication, Ionic hosted RW Jack who is campaigning for Grand South. He was accompanied by Most Worshipful Richard and several Right Worshipful Masters including our DDGM. RW Jack discussed topics on how to help better our fraternity through the creation of a statewide relief team to better help our brother during times of distress and creating online courses for brothers interested in expanding their Masonic Education.
The following Saturday Ionic had their quarterly range day. It was grand day of fellowship as several members enjoyed the day improving their marksmanship. If you are interested in joining the next one, reach out to WM Jeff for more information on the next event.
I would like to thank WM Scott for visiting DeMolay and presenting the charitable donation on behalf of Ionic Lodge. During his visit, WM Scott also had the honor of being present for the installation of three new DeMolay members.
On Monday, March 16th, WM Travis White and I paid a visit to the Wesconnett Rainbow Girls. During their meeting, Ionic showed their appreciation by offering the Rainbow Girls two charitable donations which they humbly accepted.
During our second stated meeting, Ionic was visited by brothers from Solomon Lodge and Oceanview Lodge. It’s been a joy seeing the consistency of visitors at Ionic. I also want to express my gratitude to the brothers filling the chairs that night. It brings great pride to the lodge seeing brothers stepping up to the task even when pushing us out of our comfort zone.
A friendly reminder that we need to decide on this year’s charity. Our current candidates are Wolfson’s Children Hospital or Artist Connection Theater. If anyone would like to submit another applicant, send the information to either our Secretary or myself, and we will make sure to post it in Slack. The deadline for submissions will be Monday 4/13/26. Brethren, please look over our charity options as we are looking to put it to vote during this month’s second stated meeting on Thursday 4/16/26.
Ionic will also be hosting School of Instruction on Wednesday 4/15/26. RH Steve is requesting members who are willing to sit in a chair during the lecture. If you are interested, let me know no later than Tuesday 4/7/26 so I can provide him with ample time to fill in the gaps. Dinner will be at 6pm followed by lecture at 7pm with a target end time of 8pm.
I would like to announce that we will be purging items from our lodge that are no longer in use. All items have been moved to the hallway between the kitchen and the dining hall. If any brother is interested in taking any of these items, come by the lodge before the end of the month.
